Manchester will welcome its first New-York inspired Manahatta bar this summer, following a £1.8million investment from owner and multi-brand operator, Arc Inspirations.

Building on its two existing Leeds-based Manahatta sites, the company (also behind the Corn Exchange Banyan Bar and Kitchen) is set to open the 230-cover, 8,000 sq ft. restaurant and bar in the Royal London House on Deansgate, Manchester within the next eight months.

As well as offering an extensive drinks list of beer, wines, spirits and cocktails especially created by the American Bar at The Savoy’s former mixolgist, Mark Austin, it will also serve an all-day food menu.

The news follows a successful year for Arc Inspirations which saw “record-breaking financial results, the opening of both Manahatta and Greek Street, and the appointment of new managing director, Anni Opong.”

Chief executive Martin Wolstencroft commented: “I’m extremely proud to be developing the Manahatta brand and to make our Manahatta mark in the beautiful city of Manchester. The prestigious Deansgate location is a fantastic setting and will complement our existing Banyan venue perfectly.

“Our £1.8million investment into creating this site reinforces our offering and reassures customers of its quality. The expansion cements our reputation as pioneers of innovating dining and drinking experiences in the North of England, and I’m confident we can offer the people of Manchester something different, glamourous and a fantastic experience every time they visit an Arc Inspirations site.”
