Yorkshire pud-to-go chain York Roast Co. to relaunch with restaurant space

The York Roast Co., a collection of four Sunday-roast inspired sandwich shops, is revamping its flagship York eatery with the addition of a new dining area.

The refurbished site will be able to seat 30 diners on its new first floor space situated up the stairs from its take away shop and kitchen, when it re-opens in March.

A total of £150,000 is being invested in the Stonegate store, where last year its ‘YorkyPud Wrap' went viral after being added to the menu.

The dish is a giant Yorkshire pudding wrap stuffed with pork, turkey, ham or beef, alongside vegetables or fresh red cabbage slaw, stuffing and gravy.

The same fillings can also be ordered in a more traditional breaded sandwich form or as a roast dinner. Available sides include roast potatoes, seasonal veg, crackling and stuffing balls.

The family-run business’s three other outlets are located in Chester, Shrewsbury and Salisbury.
