A vegan and vegetarian canteen serving breakfast, lunch and brunch is the latest business announced for Peckham’s new food and drink destination.

Wildflower, from independent hospitality group Parched London, will open on 8 December when the Peckham Levels opens for business.

Built on the site of the district's well-known former multi-storey car park, the south London venue will feature seven floors of local food and drink outlets along with studios and workshops.

The three upper levels will be the venue’s eating space with Wildflower setting up shop on on the fifth.

Parched London operates several food outlets across south London including Peckham pubs, The White Horse and The Montpelier.

The canteen’s menu will be overseen by head chef Joseph Ryan, who has previously worked at Hoi Polloi and Salon in Brixton Village and at Peckham’s summer rooftop spot, Frank’s Bar.

Wildflower says its menu will be based around “core favourites and a daily-changing menu of dishes which are approachable, affordable, and always impeccably prepared.”

The outlet will predominantly be targeting the area’s lunchtime trade in the week before switching its focus to its drink offering on weekends as it targets the night trade.
