Westgate Oxford opens for business

The complex has space for 100 shops, restaurants and a cinema

The new Westgate Oxford shopping complex officially opened for business yesterday as over half of the development’s food and drink outlets began trading.

The 800,00 sq ft. site is home to 22 dining spots made up of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Sites already open at the £440 million shopping centre include Nando’s, The Breakfast Club, Benito's Hat, Pret A Manger and Tommi’s Burger Joint.

The Alchemist, Comptoir Libanais, Dirty Bones and Krispy Kreme are among those opening over this week and next.

Westgate Oxford is expected to be visited by 15 million people annually according to its developer, The Oxford Westgate Alliance, a partnership between Land Securities and the Crown Estate.
