Two former The Restaurant Group (TRG) directors are to open a new restaurant and bar on Stourbridge High Street next month in what the pair hope will mark the beginning of a nationwide chain.

The West Midlands site is the first opening from Threedome Lesuire, a group comprising of former brand director and deputy managing director of Frankie & Benny’s, David Salmon, and Derek Mallon, who held the same roles with Coast to Coast, Joe’s Kitchen and Filling Station.

The group have turned a former glasshouse unit into the Cock N Bull restaurant and bar which will have a menu featuring burgers made from free-range Hertfordshire beef, and free-range chicken.

Salmon plans on opening 25 restaurants across the UK within the next ten years in the hope of it becoming a “familiar sight up and down the country.“

Threedome Lesuire are leasing the building off of Admiral Taverns who are also part funding the refurbishment.

He said: “We are delighted to be launching in Stourbridge. Working closely in partnership with Admiral Taverns and having made significant investment in the site, we are ready to unveil a truly special eating and drinking environment which will be underpinned by excellent hospitality”.

“It is important to start this journey in the right location and following in depth research we are confident that Stourbridge is that place, with a real demand for what we have to offer.

“We look forward to serving the town, and it will be a local team formed here in Stourbridge that pioneers the unique style of hospitality which will drive forward”

The group plans for the restaurant to open by 15 September.
