High-street chain Slug and Lettuce launched its latest menu yesterday (15 November), including a number of new vegan and main course dishes and cocktails, to cater for the increasing demand for ‘alternative diets.’

For breakfast, vegans can now opt for a sharing dish of bacon and omelette sliders, honey-glazed pork sausages, BBQ beans, sautéed mushrooms and avocado for £14.99, or £20 when including two alcoholic drinks.

Other upgrades have been made to the chain’s ‘sweet and petite’ and ‘small plates’ sections, ‘cocktails and cakes’ offering, as well as reintroducing its weekday £5 lunch deal.

On the drinks side, a number of new cocktails have been added to the menu such as the ‘chocolate Ben-o,’ ‘cherry St Clements’ and Gordon’s pink spritz.

Senior marketing manager Samantha Maynard commented: “With each new menu, we work hard to ensure that all of our customers will find something that they enjoy eating and drinking.

“On top of that, we’re always looking at what our existing and potential customers would be looking for and ensuring we cater for their needs. We have the additions of some fantastic vegan dishes available along with improved deals throughout the week, and are confident that our offering will ensure our position as the go-to brand on the high-street.”
