Rosa’s Thai Café has launched a new Southern Thai menu at its Soho site, which aims to introduce Londoners to the undiscovered side of Thai cuisine.

The menu features dishes inspired by Indian, Malaysian, Indonesian and Chinese cooking, such as smoked mackerel curry, turmeric chicken, spicy orange curry and seabass with turmeric.

Saiphin Moore, head chef and co-founder, said: “Southern Thai cuisine is one of my favourite styles of Thai cooking. It’s very different to some of the more famous dishes, but the flavours and spices are fantastic.

“Southern cuisine uses a lot of salt water fish, turmeric and bird’s eye chillies, a combination that’s unique to the region, and unheard of in my native North East. I’m looking forward to helping our customers discover some new favourites.”

The menu launch is the first in a series of regional menus across Rosa’s nine sites in London.
