Punch changes delivery service provider

Punch has announced that it has changed its delivery service provider in response to its current provider Carlsberg withdrawing from distribution services in the UK as well as in anticipation of the sale of Punch to Heineken.

KNDL, the current distributor for Heineken’s Star Pubs & Bars, will provide delivery services for the pubs that will transfer to Heineken, which is subject to the approval of the competitions & market authority.

The distribution arm of Marston’s plc will provide the delivery services for the Punch range of products for the retained Punch Pubs.

CEO for Punch, Duncan Garrood, said: “There are clear benefits to both of these arrangements with KNDL being able to provide a smooth transition for the set of Pubs that will transfer when the sale of Punch is finalised.

“It is especially pleasing to be able to partner with Marston’s, a Midlands based UK business with great experience of Pubs, to supply the Punch product range to the retained Punch Pubs moving forward.

“We now progress to changing over our supply arrangements from Carlsberg to Marston’s and KNDL in an efficiently managed process to provide our Publicans with the very best service."

The change will take place in autumn 2017.
