Pub company Stonegate has appointed Mark Hammond its new head of digital, in an effort to drive its online marketing and ecommerce.

Having joined in October after four years at dog-friendly travel website, PetsPyjamas, where he held the position of chief digital officer, Hammond brings 10 years of digital marketing and program management experience, ranging from CRM campaigns to online revenue and customer databases.

The news follows Stonegate’s increased focus on digital this year, having designed new websites for all its formats, rolled out new CRM and online booking systems, and innovated customer feedback.

Marketing director Nicola Pryce said: “Mark is a much welcome addition to the team. His enthusiasm, knowledge and practical way of doing business is exactly what we need to translate our digital investment into consumer engagement and revenue via online. The achievements in his career to date are testament to his skill and commitment.”
