Individual Restaurants, the Manchester-based restaurant operator of the Piccolino and Restaurant Bar & Grill brands, made record sales of £67 million for the year ended 31 March 2017.

The group listed like-for-like sales growth of 1.8% and the opening of the Opera Grill in Chester as the driving factors in its latest filing on Companies House.

Managing director Vernon Lord described the results, which included a second best ever EBITDA performance of £7m, as “excellent” and “hugely successful” despite an overall pre-tax loss of 951,553.

The loss was considerably down on the 2016 results when the company made profits of £1.5m.

The privately owned group operates 38 casual dining restaurants across the UK which includes twenty Piccolino’s, ten Restaurant Bar and Grills, the Bank Restaurant & Bar and two Gino D’Acampo My Restaurants.
