Mindful Chef donates 100,000+ meals to children in poverty

Healthy food box company Mindful Chef has donated over 100,000 meals to children in poverty since partnering with the charity One Feeds Two this July.

For every food box purchased, the company has in turn donated “a nutritious school meal” to a child living in poverty - hoping to donate a total one million meals by the end of 2018.

Co-founder Myles Hopper explained: “We wanted to work with One Feeds Two as it’s a really effective way of using our business to help children in need.

“Over 60 million children miss out on school every single day due to hunger, which is simply unacceptable. Partnering with One Feeds Two allows us and our customers to help in some small way but, more importantly, on a regular basis.

“We’re incredibly proud of the Mindful Chef community who have helped us donate over 100,000 meals already. We encourage more companies to get involved.”

One Feeds Two was founded in 2013 by JP Campbell, with the belief that by “providing a nutritious school meal, children in some of the world’s poorest countries won’t go hungry, will have one more reason to attend school and as a result, have a greater chance in improving their prospects in life.”

Campbell said: “We are delighted to be working with Mindful Chef and there is real symmetry in our values. The impact of the school meals is transformative for the children receiving them and will change lives. We are excited by the scale of Mindful Chef’s ambition and are incredibly excited about what our partnership can achieve.”
