Skelmersdale based Mellors Catering Services have announced the launch of the Big Red Bus that will go on a month-long tour.

The traditional double decker bus is kitted out with a kitchen facility and has an upstairs dining area for 32 people.

It will tour schools and businesses across the North of England, the Midlands and Wales to provide an 'extra special' dining experience to Mellors customers.

EAT. is partnering with Fit and Fed, an innovative holiday programme led by StreetGames, to launch a summer campaign highlighting the risk of holiday hunger and inactivity.

Global services company, Sodexo, has raised £1,000 in partnership with its client Oasis Academies in support of the relief efforts for cyclone-hit Mozambique.

In the run up to World Health Day in April, Sodexo worked with the Oasis schools where it provides catering services and pledged to donate 20p for every hot meal sold. Across 31 secondary and 13 primary schools, over 3,000 meals were sold.

Year on year foodservice inflation fell back in April from March, but price rises on hot and soft drinks have kept the total basket of goods static month on month, the Foodservice Price Index from Prestige Purchasing and CGA has revealed.
