Pub and restaurant operator Greene King has pledged its support for the British Red Cross’ Saturday Night for London campaign to help those affected by the London terror attack last weekend.

Greene King will donate £1 for every fish & chip supper sold as well as holding collections for the fund. All proceeds will go to the British Red Cross UK Solidarity Fund, launched in response to the attacks in both London and Manchester.

Rooney Anand, chief executive officer for Greene King, said: “Our London pubs are places where people from all over the world come to enjoy their free time. Three of our own pubs were involved in the lockdown last weekend and we want to get fully behind the British Red Cross campaign to support people who have been affected by the terror attacks. Our team members will be encouraging our customers to give generously this Saturday evening.”

Greene King has 260 pubs and restaurants in London. The three affected by last weekend’s terror attacks were The George in Southwark, The Anchor in Bankside and The Monument.
