Essential Cuisine’s ‘stock people’ team have been training for months in preparation to scale Wales highest mountain, Snowdon.

On 10 June, 22 members of the team will be challenged with a 1,085 metre climb all for the cause of raising thousands of pounds for St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford. Cheshire; they care for those with life-limiting illnesses, delivering symptom control, end of life care and complementary therapies.

Every penny that is raised by the individual members of the team will be matched said Nigel Crane MD of Essential Cuisine, who has pledged on behalf of the company.

This will ensure that the charity can continue to provide support for those who need care and support both at the hospice and within the community.

The team from catering and drink suppliers Essential Cuisine do not only support St Luke’s Hospice they also support other local charities including Crisis homeless shelter.

Crane commented: “The climb presents a serious test, but it is nothing compared to the struggles of some of the people St Luke’s supports on a daily basis. Hopefully the money raised can go towards a continuation of the good work. I call upon the industry to support team Essential, get behind the initiative and pledge what they can so that together we can make a real difference to people’s lives.”

St Luke’s Corporate Partnership Manager, Steven Cook added: ”We’ve had a great relationship with Essential Cuisine for some time now and are thrilled to see the team come together to support us on this challenge.”
