Dr. Oetker Professional has expanded its Chicago Town ‘Takeaway’ pizza range

Dr. Oetker Professional, bakery and pizza specialist has expanded its Chicago Town pizza range introducing three new toppings to its out-of-home range.

Joining the line up of Chicago Town (frozen) ‘Takeaway’ Pizzas are:

‘Limited edition Pulled Buffalo chicken’ (tender pulled chicken, red onions, melted mozzarella on buffalo spiced sauce, with Chicago Town’s signature tomato sauce stuffed crust).

There is also ‘Barbeque feast’ (Chorizo, mozzarella, red & yellow peppers, red onion and barbeque sauce on classic thin crust) and ‘The chocolate dessert pizza’ (chocolate pizza topped with chocolate sauce, dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chunks.)

Senior brand manager, Dr Oetker Professional (UK) ltd, Emma Haworth said: “As demand has grown so does the pressure to stand out from the competition, our latest pizzas not only keep operators one step ahead of the latest pizza trends, but the reassurance of the Chicago Town brand means operators can offer excellent quality and a real takeaway straight from the oven.”

Currently the ‘Takeaway’ pizza range includes: cheese, pepperoni and chicken & bacon melt all available in cases of eight, made with a unique rising dough base that is not pre cooked, and can be cooked from frozen, making the practicality of the product ideal for busy kitchens, where chef skills and special ovens are not required.

Emma added: “Our ‘Takeaway’ Pizzas can be sold whole or by the slice, and with a holding time of 45 minutes can be pre-prepared ready for service. The fact there’s no special skills or equipment needed means operators can rest easy when it comes to quality, as well as continue to drive sales once the main kitchen has closed.

“This is ideal for hotels offering late night room service or pubs looking to tap into the profitable takeaway market. Fully branded Chicago Town Takeaway pizza boxes are also available as a perfect solution for operators looking to create an even more authentic takeaway experience.”

The company is excited to be bringing its ultimate chocolate indulgence pizza to the out-of-home market for operators to add their menus, says Emma.

The pizza is ideal to be a shared dessert following its other two ‘Takeaway’ pizzas, available in cases of seven, with the opportunity for chefs to add additional sweet toppings for individual personalisation.
