LACA has announced the winner of the 2018 National School Meals Week #Cookeditmyselfie competition as ISS Education.

The competition is designed to enable school caterers, via the LACA NSMW Twitter account, to showcase the very best of school food.

Steve Kemp, Sector Director from ISS said:
‘I am thrilled to hear that one of our school chefs has been recognised for her amazing contribution to National School Meals Week!

Cheryl thoroughly embraced the #cookeditmyselfie challenge and this is a great example of the fantastic work our school chefs do every day.’

The competition has had more entries year on year, and this year entrants were competing for £500 worth of marketing support as well as an afternoon Tea for Two at the world famous Ritz of London.

Runners up place went to CaterED, Plymouth's Catering Service. The judges were impressed not just with the quality of the pictures sent in but the sheer volume.

In third place came Grimes Dyke Primary School in Leeds, operated by Catering Leeds. Some of the meal combinations sent in from the school were ‘beautiful’.

LACA can also confirm that 2019 will see this popular initiative continue, with a new line up of judges and new prize for the school caterers who send in the best entry.
