The Michelin-starred Club Gascon closed its doors last night (10 July) ahead of a major refurbishment.

The London restaurant, opened in 1998 by head chef Pascal Aussignac and business partner Vincent Labeyrie, specialises in cuisine from the south west of France.

“Club Gascon is where our brand's story began,” said Aussignac. “I am committed to restoring the restaurant to its original beauty, ensuring that it retains its rightful place as one of the best and finest restaurants in the country.

“This is such an exciting development and I cannot wait to share the updated look and the new concept with you,’ says Pascal.

The restaurant, which achieved its one Michelin star in 2002, is due to reopen in the autumn with the details of its new design and concept currently being kept a secret.

In 2013, Toulouse-born Aussignac won restaurant chef of the year at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards.

Club Gascon is owned by Gascon Connection Restaurants which comprises of five restaurants and bars within Central London and fast-casual concepts Duck’N Roll and Chip+Fish.
