Derbyshire Catering Service are a national award winning service with over 70 years of experience, serving around 57,000 meals per day. We are passionate about the children we feed and understand the importance of providing a quality meal.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the leadership team of the catering department. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has extensive experience in leadership and management of education catering with a keen interest in food trends and an eye for detail.

You will be responsible for managing the portfolio of secondary schools and commercial ventures, including direct line management of a small team with overall responsibility for menu planning and marketing. It is essential that you have a wide spread knowledge of health and safety, menus and marketing the service.

You will be able to build effective client relationships with Head teachers and Business Managers. We expect that you will be a driven individual able to increase meal uptake, make improvements to the service and identify potential new business. 

In order to succeed you must have a proven track record of effectively managing others and extensive catering knowledge of production and delivery.

You must possess or have extensive equivalent experience of NVQ level 4 in Catering/Hospitality, a Management Qualification at level 4 and Advanced Food Safety.

You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport, along with the flexibility to travel around at short notice.
