Neighbourhood burger bar, Ben’s Canteen, has teamed up with BrewDog to launch a new burger, marking the start of a series of collaborations between the two.

Ben’s Canteen x BrewDog Burger, available from 31 July, consists of two beef patties, double smoked cheese, streaky bacon, Punk IPA barbecue sauce and Brewdog’s kingpin batter fries.

BrewDog’s operations director, James Brown, said: “We had been looking into innovative ways to infuse our beers in food and wanted to partner with a restaurant famed for their burgers and who shares our brand values.

“Ben’s burgers are fantastic, and so Ben’s Canteen x BrewDog Burger was born”.

As part of the collaboration, the two companies are planning on releasing a regular special food offering with ideas for a BrewDog fried chicken burger and a vegan burger part of their plans.

Ben’s Canteen, which has sites in Battersea and Earsfield, was set up by Ben Walton in 2011 as a restaurant which mixes burger bar with pub.

BrewDog are a Scottish brewing company owned by James Watt and Martin Dickie, who since their humble beginnings of selling beer out the back of a van in 2007, now have a business recently valued at over £1 billion.
