Brewbroker, the ‘brewer without a brewery’ starts Crowdcube campaign

BrewBroker, an online market place start-up for the brewing industry, has launched a Crowdcube page as it looks for investment to fund its development.

Founded in 2016 by Ben Morgan-Smith, the business model of the company is to act as a facilitator to anybody looking for a brewer.

Morgan-Smith said he created the concept after watching friends “toil to find a brewer for their brewing venture a few years ago.”

“We are building a platform which caters for contract brewing on all scales, from one-off wedding beers, to restaurants looking to offer a house bottle, right through to international breweries wanting to save on shipping costs by working with reliable local partners,” said Morgan Smith.

‘The Brewer without a Brewery’ as the company has labelled itself, is looking to raise £380,000 to grow the business.

The campaign has so far attracted 198 investors and has raised over £157,100- over 40% of its target.

The company is holding an event in London on 19 October in a bid to attract further investment.

Established in 2011, Crowdcube gives the general public the chance to invest in businesses for equity shares and has recently been used by companies including Brewdog and The Good Egg restaurant.
