“Moroccan inspired” restaurant for Bishopsgate

18/05/2007 - 00:00
A “Middle Eastern” and “Moroccan inspired” restaurant and lounge bar is opening in Bishopsgate next month.

Kenza's restaurant and lounge bar will reflect the styles of the Maghreb and the Middle East, with embroidered cushions, carved tables and alcoves. The bar area will comprise two booths, holding up to eight people in each. It will offer an extensive wine list, with cocktails inspired by the spices of the Middle East. The eatery will accommodate a large meeting room, seating 50 people, and five other private booth areas. The menu from Lebanese-born head chef Jad Youssef will be designed for sharing and every table will include a bowl of crudités, breads and pickles for guests on arrival. Restaurant manager is Tony Kitous, who also owns the Moroccan Pasha restaurant in Kensington.
